Overview
Minimums is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. We built this app to help pilots quickly decode aviation weather, not to harvest personal information.
Minimums collects zero data. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device. Ever.
Data Collection
Minimums does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. This includes:
- Names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
- Location data
- Device identifiers or fingerprints
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports
- Advertising identifiers
- Browsing or search history
- Contacts, photos, or other device data
- Health, fitness, or financial information
There are no third-party analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no ad networks in the app. We do not sell, share, or monetize any data because we don't have any.
Third-Party Services
Minimums fetches weather data (METARs) from aviationweather.gov, a public API operated by the U.S. government. When the app requests weather data:
- Only the airport identifier (e.g., KJFK) is sent as part of the request
- No user data, device information, or location is included in these requests
- The API is publicly accessible and does not require authentication
No other third-party services, SDKs, or network calls are used in the app.
Data Storage
All data generated by your use of Minimums is stored locally on your device:
- Favorite airports: saved on-device only
- Personal minimums: saved on-device only
- App preferences: saved on-device only
There is no cloud storage, no remote database, and no server-side component. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed with it.
Children's Privacy
Minimums is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects zero data, there is no risk to children.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because Minimums collects zero data, we do not anticipate significant changes. For material changes, we will include a notice within the app.
